Warhammer 40k Imperial guard question?
I was wondering how many points are in the imperial guard cadian battle force,
I was hoping to start my imperial army today, and even if your answer is an approximation, i don’t care.

It really depends on what extra stuff you give to the specific units, but here’s an idea:
Command Squad: Basic points value is 50. This points cost can be easily doubled by adding gear like med-packs, carapace armour, and different weapons for the Company Commander.
The grunts can be used as basic infantry or maybe veterans:
x20 veterans is about 140 points (70 points per 10 man squad), without any other gear. If you add in doctrines, a vox caster, maybe a power weapon for the sergeant, etc, you can push it up to 120+ points for each x10 man unit.
x20 standard infantrymen are about 110 points. Just like I explained with the veterans, you can easily double that points value if you add in extra gear.
The heavy weapons teams can be between 5 – 15 points each, depending on what weapon you give them.
x1 Sentinel: basic 35 points, but can easily go up to 60 points if you change the weapons load-out or add smoke-launchers etc.
So, if you equip that force correctly, you’ve got around 500 points worth of Imperial Guard in the box.
