Questions (about space available) military flights etc. for retirees?
somewhat familiar with these as have good friend retired af, who uses them but more questions..
Can all retirees (army coast guard etc. ) use them or just af and navy ?
Do they apply to non-retiree veterans or just retirees ?
If seats are posted space available, can a crew/loadmaster deny them (even if they are there) on their whim (for no good reason)?
Why are navy sa postings more detailed than af sa postings ?
Why do our military retirees, get the lowest (cat 6) priority to board/ (doesnt seem fair)?
Since boarded military retirees can be “bumped”– it this very common (very likely)?
1. yes all retirees can use space A
2. veterans are not authorized
3. Yes, anyone can be bumped
4. Each service is different
5. Whats not fair about it ? active duty always get priority over retirees
6. Your not usually bumped after boarding, you get bumped down on the waiting list, before boarding.
