What are some classic yet original fantasy books?
I love fantasy books and have recently become addicted to Brandon Sanderson who is really great.. I also love books like the Percy Jackson and Olympian series and Nancy Farmer’s Sea of Trolls, Land of Silver Apples, and Island of the Blessed because they have a mixture of mythology in them. I would really like a book with a girl/woman as the main character. Thanks! Oh and I know about the Wheel of Time series so please make suggestions other than that.
I’ve read Lord of the Rings, Artemis Fowl, and some Zimmer..
Anything by Marion Zimmer Bradley. She does a lot of Arthurian legend, but from the women’s perspective. Mists of Avalon is about Morgan le Faye and Guinevere (though their names are spelled differently). You might like Ursula K. Le Guin’s Earthsea too.
