Can we successfully back-engineer advance alien tech and use it?
Aliens may be thousands of years more advance than humanity. So understanding their technology is improbable because of several factors:
a)Raw Materials –> they may be using materials only found far far away from our planet.
b)Manufacturing Process and techniques –> aliens may be utilizing advance nanotech tools and machines to build these ships. These gadgets is not within our grasp.
c) Alien Physics and Math–> they are incorporating their solid understanding of warp drives, worn holes, black holes, quarks, dark matter, gluons, etc into their design. These may very well be beyond our comprehension.
d) Anatomy and Mental Abilities –> just as our F-23 lightning fighter jet is fully designed to fit human body and human mental abilities into its cockpit, alien ergonomics are purely designed for their anatomy as well
I think that you mean ‘reverse engineering’.
