Hardware store help (wood)?
Ok so im not very good with this kinda stuff, but im a wargamer, i play this game/hobby called warhammer 40k. and we usually build our tables so we have a nice place to play the game on.
well i am pretty limited on money being a 15 year old dude, so i need to know how much i need to buy these materials.
i need:
one 15/32″ thick plywood cut into a 4′ by 4′ square
two pieces of 1″ x 4″ thick pine cut into 48″ rectangle
and three 1″ x 4″ thick pine cut into 46 1/2″ rectangle
how much approximately would all that be?
Warhammer is a cool game and if it were my table I would want some 3/4″ plywood and not 1/2″.
The 3/4″ will give you much more support, will be stronger and won’t flex nearly so much.
Also I am assuming that you are going to put this on top of a table and not on the floor. I am wondering why you only want 4′ X 4′ and not 4 X 8, bigger area to play on means bigger point armys (go space marines, tyranids are sweet too)
I would think that you should only have to spen about $30 to get all of this. Oh also verry few places will only let you but a full sheat of plywood (4′ X 8′) so you might as well use it.
