In warhammer 40K how many men are in a squad, platoon of catachan jungle fighters?

so 20 catachans im gonna get are 2 squads and how many points is an average battle. how many catachans on average would i need to fulfill this.
Actually, as of the most recent codex (which is due to be replaced later this year) squads consist of 9 guardsmen and 1 sergeant and that’s pretty much fixed (there is a thing about “rump” squads, but I’ll not go into that).
A platoon is between 2 and 5 squads and must be led by a command squad of 1 Junior Officer and 4 Guardsmen.
To have one legal Troops choice, you must have a complete Platoon; i.e. at least 25 models. To have a legal army, you must have at least two Troops choices and one HQ choice (another command squad). So the minimum legal size for an Imperial Guard army is 55 models.
This may, of course, change in the new codex.
An “average” battle – meaning the one most often played at club and tournament games – is 1500 points. For this, you’re typically talking a couple of platoons of 2-3 squads each, plus armoured support and probably a support platoon or two. That comes in at about 70-80 models, plus vehicles.
