Warhammer 40K Ork Vs Space Wolves?
Me and my buddy started our war hammer 40k hobby. I’m using Orks he’s using space wolves. We useally play in 650-750 point games. he usually brings 2 seperate sqauds of 10 greyhunters, one with lazcannon other with krak missle launcher. He has a dreadnought, i need help killing it, it has a meltagun a bolt rifle and a power fist. and then he has a rune priest. and 5 terminators 4 with power fist other with power sword.
I useally bring 30 shootas with ard boy upgrade with a nob with a boss pole one rokkit launcha and 2 big shootas. 5 Nobz, two with a Shoota/Rokkit Kombi and 3 with a Shoota/Burna Kombi, a waaagh banner and a bosspole. One warboss in mega armour. 3 deffkoptas with twin linked rokkit launcha.
20 Grey Hunters, a Dreadnought, a Rune Priest and 5 Terminators? Someone needs to check their codex, because I’m pretty sure that’s more than 750 points!
I can see what you’re having trouble with the Dreadnought. For a start, I’d ditch the Ard Boyz upgrade and swap out the shoota boyz for slugga boyz. You need to get more of a mix in your Nobz squad. I’d suggest throwing in at least thee power klaws. Drop the Waaagh! banner and bosspole. These are upgrades to use when you get past 1000 points. At 650-750 points, every boy counts and you need to maximize your bodycount. Move the nob from the boyz to the nobz squad and drop the rokkit launcher for another big shoota.
The deffkoptas should be tasked with destroying the Dreadnought. Use of cover should make them more than a match for each other. If that fails, use the Mega-Boss and power klaw Nobz to finish the job, ideally accompanied by a well-timed Waaagh!
