What army should I choose for Warhammer 40K?
I am just getting started with this game… I want a army with ranged fighting, cheap, and looks cool… I am currently leaning towards Space Marines, Daemon Hunters, and Imperial Gaurd [Feel free to suggest other armies]
Well the tau and eldar are the best long range fighters but the tau are horrible in close combat. The eldar however have some units that specialize in melee so it’s not as big a problem. But if you are a beginner like you say the eldar and tau are not for you if all you want to do is battle. I recommend space marines, but chaos space marines would do the trick as well. Also they are easier to paint and will leave you far more satisfied with the overall look should you screw up more than once.
