What weapons are displayed/usable on the Warhammer 40K Farseer and Warlock Models?
I have recently started an eldar army. The codex states that the Farseer and Warlocks have a witchblade and shuriken pistol load-out. The models that I have purchased show the Farseer as having two blades, and the Warlocks each having a single two-handed blade. I do not see this covered in the codex. Are these units counted as having the blade/pistol wargear, or is there some paragraph I am not seeing that deals with these models?
The important thing is what the rules allow:
A Witchblade and shuriken pistol allow the model to fire a pistol and to count as having two close combat weapons in the Assault phase. Adding a knife to this combination makes no difference to these rules (this pistol is simply hidden away in a holster on that model). Likewise, the two-handed blades are simply witchblades wielded two-handed rather than being “two-handed” weapons as described in the rules.
A little abstraction is necessary in the rules. A little imagination is necessary in the miniatures. No one will raise a WYSIWYG complaint about these stock minis.
