Warhammer 40k-trying to paint my tyranids. Have a scheme-how do I paint them like this?
Okay, I have a tyranid army and a space marine army; my space marine army is a blood red/ice blue combination, and looks good. I want my tyranids to contrast this, so I picked this picture as the basis:

If I could get my nids looking like this, it’d be great. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Looking for very thorough painting instructions. Pretty much step by step if possible. Guaranteed 10 points to an accurate, thorough answer.
Painting good-looking nids quickly is a piece of cake.
First, decide on the under-colour – that is the colour of the flesh, bones and sinews beneath the armour plates. I recommend choosing a Foundation colour, firstly because it will go on quickly and smootly over the primer coat and secondly because your marines are painted in bold, bright colours and the muted, natural tones of the Foundation set will compliment that nicely on the tabletop.
Looking at the image you link to, I’d recommend Dheneb Stone as the under-colour.
Now you’ll be wanting to wash the whole thing with either Badab Black or Devlan Mud – which one you choose really depends on the finish you want; BB is cleaner but darker, DM is dirtier but lighter.
Leave that wash to dry thoroughly, then overbrush (that’s like drybrushing but using a slightly damp brush and more paint) the whole thing in Dheneb Stone again. If you want to spend a little more time on a mini – such as a Trygon, Hive Tyrant or Carnifex – then do a second overbrush, a little lighter, using a 50/50 mix of Dheneb Stone and Skull White.
Now we come to the over-colour; that is, the colour of the armour plates. You’re clearly thinking of green, so think about starting with Knarloc Green or Orkhide Shade, depending on the darkness of colour you want. Paint that over the whole armour plate then, when that’s dry, overbrush with a mix of Goblin Green and your chosen basecoat (or go straight to pure Goblin Green for a brighter look).
If you have time, you might like to apply a wash of Thraka Green to the plates, then re-highlight with the same colour to just make the armour look that little bit smoother.
Finally, pick out the details like eyes, fangs, tongues etc and you’re done.
