Starting to collect Warhammer 40k, suggestions?
I am going to start to collect warhammer 40k.
I have a starting budget of 250 dollars, i know it kinda thin for the paints and tools and yea….
I will collect Chaos Space Marines. I would like to know the best paints brushes, and a nice starter kit and codex’s to buy. And would someone also tell me what the HQ is, and how can I get one for the chaos. Thanks and buy.

Well, to start off you should get the standard sized brush, as this can be used for anything. Later, when you’re more experienced you could diversify. For example if you already have paining skills, you might want a standard and a fine detail. If you just want to prime/basecoat them, well you’d be better off with a larger type of brush. The codex you buy is the one that fits with your army. So if you’re doing Chaos space marines, it would be codex: Chaos space marines.
Good starter kits are battleforces, or core troop regimants… Just something to give you lots of points in one go. I personnally bought Assault on Black reach and converted the space marines into chaos space marines using green stuff.
Also by giving you’re soldiers upgrades and stuff (listedin the codex) you can turn low cost models into fairly high costing models.
As for HQ theirs alot of different thing and depends on what you want.
For example if you have an army which packs a punch at a long range you might consider a sorceror. Khorne HQ’s are usually powerful close up… I bought a demon prince for my first HQ.
